Professional secrecy
The obligation to keep secret of everything involved in the exercise of a profession of legal adviser or advocate is provided for in the applicable legal regulations: the Act dated 6th July 1982 on legal advisers and the Act dated 26th May 1982 – the Law on the legal profession, and imposed by professional ethics binding on legal advisers and advocates in the exercise of their profession.
An advocate and a legal adviser are liable on disciplinary grounds for a breach of duty, including the duty to keep a professional secret.
RGW undertakes to keep in strict professional secrecy any and all materials, including agreements and other documents and information, entrusted to RGW in connection with legal aid provided.
The secrecy and confidentiality will be maintained basing on the procedures in place at the Office in accordance with relevant provisions of the law.
